This week, a unique offering from Premium Bandai gives us an inside look at a retro Tsuburaya studios film studio with a new diorama set.
In this week’s episode of SciFi JAPAN TV, the team visits the “Kaiju Sakaba” (literally “Monster Bar”) with Monster Attack Team magazine’s Ed Holland. Supervised by Tsuburaya Productions, this temporary izakaya in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture is themed around the kaiju characters from the Ultraman series.

Last weekend, Stage 107’s theatre in Shinjuku held a rather unique Ultraman stage show that featured no fighting, returns of characters or anything to do with the Ultra universe. However, it starred Ultra Seven’s Kohji Moritsugu, Ultra Galaxy’s Shota Minami(pictured above) and a mix of other shows’ actors.
