Yesterday, PlatinumGames shocked the world with the announcement of their new upcoming game, “Project G.G. A Go-Go!” Now, the title is a work progress, but the game itself is heavily influenced by the tokusatsu genre. From the trailer which fans can view below, the game will feature a hero that transforms into an Ultra-like being to fight kaiju. However, while our hero will be reference to Ultraman, their transformation is an obvious homage to Kamen Rider. This leaves us with the question of what other references are in the game?
Now, the game is being directed by PlatinumGames’ own, Hideki Kamiya; the mastermind behind Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Ōkami, and Bayonetta! In addition, Project G.G. is intended to be the third installment in Kamiya’s superhero trilogy. Also, the game will feature Kamiya’s longtime friend and business partner, Atsushi Inaba as its producer. Fans can head over to PlatinumGames’ official website for more information on the game, and its development. Nevertheless, this announcement is wonderful and we cannot wait to see more of Project G.G.!
