Kamen River Kiva is making a comeback. As I clutch my pearls at the thought of it already being a decade since this amazing fantasy action series left the airwaves, Kiva’s celebrating its tenth anniversary in style. We’ve already heard of the new Blu-ray set coming to home video, as well as the introduction of fan-favorite actor Takeda Touhei making his recent debut as a mysterious new superpowered figure in the current series Kamen Rider Build. But why stop there? Surely there’s some other way to bring honor to the bat-themed hero and his outrageous circle of friends and rivals as we look back on their wacky adventures together? Well, that’s where Kamen Rider The Diner comes in.
As previously mentioned, Kamen Rider The Diner has been operating in Ikebukuro, Japan since 2011, serving up food and drink inspired by the illustrious heroes, villains, and other oddities of the Rider franchise to a clientele of hungry fans ready to feast on their object of affection. They’ve recently announced the latest addition to their ever-changing menu, and it features several items relating to the hero of the hour. Plus, some special treats to wash down the recent winter film, Kamen Rider Heisei Generations FINAL: Build & Ex-Aid with Legend Riders.
Among the food items on offer, patrons can snack on Kivat, Kamen Rider Kiva’s bat-like best pal who also happens to double as a key component to his transformation device. I guess that’s one way to get him to stop talking Kiva’s ear off at an awkward moment. Just eat him!
Also included are specialty drinks designed after several of Kiva’s alternate forms as well as his allies and enemies: the regal Kamen Rider Saga, the deadly Kamen Rider IXA (both its initial and secondary forms), the villainous Kamen Rider Dark Kiva, plus Kiva’s primary form, his fishy Bashaa form, his canine Garuru form, and his electrifying Dogga form.
From the other side of the menu comes dishes based upon the title heroes of the divine Kamen Rider Gaim, the beast Kamen Rider OOO, and the starry-eyed Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. Plus, drinks from the teachable Kamen Rider Fourze, the sparkling Kamen Rider Build, and the friendly Kamen Rider Ghost.
Anyone in the area who wants to sample some of these delights should Rider Break into the diner before the end of the month, as they’re only available until January 31, 2018.
