Voltron: Legendary Defender‘s eighth season will be its last, but before this pleasant surprise of a show takes its final bow, the space-faring Paladins of Voltron have another few months of universe-saving left in them. Here’s the trailer.
With Lotor defeated and Shiro recovered, the Paladins are finally able to set a course for Earth. After a long and perilous journey, they discover that their home planet is not how they left it.
From Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra fame, Voltron: Legendary Defender premiered on the Netflix streaming service in 2016 and quickly became one of the best new entries into its niche of animated action/adventure. Many will be sad to see it go, but we look forward to its exciting conclusion, and for what may be coming from these creators next. We can only hope it will be as rich, character-focused, and fun as Voltron has been.
The show’s seventh season hits Netflix with 13 new episodes August 10th.
