Back in the late 90s, Toho Studios produced a low-budget Godzilla series for kids called Godzilla Island, featuring the use of various Bandai figurines alongside scenes incorporating a small cast of actors. Among them was Jiro Dan, otherwise known for portraying Hideki Go / Ultraman Jack in The Return of Ultraman.
Now, for a limited time Toho Studios is uploading Godzilla Island onto the Godzilla Channel. From Monday to Friday, a new episode will be uploaded daily, with episodes being available to stream for only four weeks.
Godzilla Island ran for 256 episodes from October 6, 1997 to September 30, 1998. Each episode is roughly 3 minutes long, so it is an easy view. However, while the series is available to stream internationally, it does not feature close captioned subtitles.
Godzilla Island is also on sale in Japan, as a 4-disc premium box set for 16,800 yen!
