The latest issue of CoroCoro shows that Pokemon X and Y will feature Mega Pokemon and Mega Evolutions. Â After the internet erupted with debate on how this development would change the competitive gaming scene, further details revealed that Mega Evolutions will only occur during battle when certain Pokemon are holding particular items and introduced to what it is known as a “Mega Stone”. Â So no, you won’t be walking around with a Mega Mewtwo in your party, but instead you will have have the option of allowing him/her to become the Pokemon equivalent of a Super Sayian during battle.
The concept alone is exciting in itself and has already infused the  Pokemon fan base with a much needed shot of adrenaline. Don’t get me wrong, the Black & White series did a good job of softly rebooting the franchise, but these Mega Evolutions and Pokemon introduce an exciting element that gets my fingers tingling to repeatedly press the A button on my 3DS for hours to come.
I myself housed a lively party for myself in excitement for the potential the news had to offer the poke-verse and the unlimited potential these evolutions bring to the game:
If that isn’t enough there were also new Pokemon being showcased, as well as an announcement detailing new ways to train your Pokemon.
You can find more on that at the source:Â PokemonXandY
Before I ago, Let me just ask, How do you feel about these Mega forms and what classic Pokemon do you want to see get this treatment? I’m voting for Wobbafett!Â

As someone I know put it:
“And Pokemon once more rips off a better franchise and will never be called on it because it’s more popular.”

This was not something that was needed especially with the added Fairy type, it’s just going to complicate battling even more.

…Man, I miss old school “Digimon.” None of this ‘Mega Pokemon” phooey will ever even come close to Wargreymon.
