RWBY Comes Slicing In!

A new anime style webseries has come rocketing out of nowhere and we’ve got the heads up on why you should watch the lovely ladies of RWBY. So hit the link and let the action commence!

RWBY (pronounced “Ruby”) is an original American anime-style web-series created by Rooster Teeth Productions’ animation studio. The series is created and directed by animator Monty Oum known for his work in the Dead Fantasy fight videos and the animation work for the later part of the Red Vs Blue series. The name itself comes from several sources first the primary colors of the girls Red, White, Black, and Yellow, also their names of Ruby, Weiss, Blake, And Yang.

The story takes place in a world filled with monsters and supernatural forces. The series focuses on four girls, each with their own unique weapon and powers, who come together as a team at Beacon Academy in the city of Vale where they are trained to battle these forces alongside other similar teams known as Huntsmen or Huntresses. Prior to the events of the series, mankind waged a battle of survival against the shadowy creatures known as The Grimm until they discovered the power of Dust, which allowed them to fight back the monsters. Dust is used as the primary power source for the magical abilities in the series. The series follows Ruby Rose(Red Riding Hood), her sister Yang Xiaolong(Goldilocks), Weiss Schnee(Snow White), And Blake(.Beauty of Beauty and the Beast…Seriously who names their daughter Blake? Blake is an old English term for Black)
