We’ve got a new cast member being announced for Kamen Rider Wizard! You won’t have seen one like this before.
Played by famed comedian/dance choreographer Kaba-chan of the comedian troupe Onee-MANS, Kaba-chan will be joining the cast as the owner of one of the hang out spots Haruto frequents, a doughnut shop named Do~Natsu ya Hungry. In early comments, it’s mentioned that his hairstyle should remind people of Kamen Rider Fourze. Kaba-chan is known for being one of the first openly gay and transgender actors of the modern era to make it big within Japan and is someone who has striven to broaden acceptance.
Kamen Rider Wizard begins in two weeks on September 2nd.

Huh, I really did NOT see that coming… Thats surprisingly progressive of Toei. I’m actually rather impressed; it might take a little getting used to, but I respect the casting director’s boldness.
