This is Mr. Shadow, not really active with the internet fanbase, but as a long-time Sentai/Tokusatsu fan, and one of probably very few lucky non-japanese to have the opportunity to work, live in Japan and enjoy the Tokusatsu craze here heads on, just thought to share some pictures and information on what`s coming up.
As this being my 4th time attending a Super Sentai series premiere event, it`s really a bummer companies here have taken extreme measures to prohibit any kind of photography or video taking during the actual live stage events.
Some of my thoughts and information:
Goseiger looks to be a very promising series… The stage show took off, the villains (very cool designs) and squad of creepy looking goons scattered out to scare children in the audience. The Hall goes pitch black, and switches to awesome stage lighting effects.
The Goseiger immediately make their quick appearance on stage. Just to hear the excitment of thousands of fan girls, fans, and kids go crazy over their favorite heroes was just extremely thrilling. Awesome stunts lead to a henshin effect… costumed stuntmen come out immediately, pose and send off cool stage fog effects and streamers to the audience! People in Japan actually fight for these things! So hilarious!
For those wanting some info on the show, there`s a link between Red and Pink`s characters, as well as Black and Yellow (but I won`t spoil too much). Looking at the photos of the jackets can probably give off some hints.
The stage show was just all kinds of awesomeness… the actors had so much fun in their performances, and of course, always sad to see a previous Sentai team come out and receive flowers, as is the tradition every year.
The Shinkenger cast were able to bring on a very humorous interview spot and give tons of laughs to the audience. I personally thought it was an awesome way to pass the torch to the new team.
As every year, singers of the opening songs perform the songs LIVE at these events.
Goseiger`s theme song is sung by NoB, the rock star to have brought us the awesome Go, Go, Ready Go Boukenger theme song back in 2006.
