One of the longest running sports manga in history returns for another round of Television! Ippo once again steps into the ring with the announcement of newest series that chronicles the tale of a boy searching for the meaning of strength and the answers he finds in the world of Boxing! George Morikawa’s long running series Hajime No Ippo has just been given it’s third full season titled Hajime No Ippo: Rising. The franchise has already had a 75 episode initial season (Oct 2000 – March 2002) with a 26 episode sequel series (Jan- June 2009) As well as an OVA and TV special. Rising which continues were New Challenger picks up will continue Ippo’s journey in boxing as he fights quite possibly his most dangerous if not most vicious opponent yet, RyÅ«hei Sawamura.
The voice cast from the previous series New Challenger as well as the TV special and OVA return to lend their talents.

While no formal trailer has been made at the current time the series is set to debut in the fall 2013 anime season.
