I always get bummed when studios darken a superhero’s costume. It sends the message that there is no faith in whimsy or escapism.
I LIKED Captain America’s costume in the Avengers. It was simple and colorful, you know, like a super hero.
People complained that it needed more straps and buckles, armor and pouches.
Somewhere, Rob Liefeld grows stronger.

I like Cap’s Avengers costume more and more every time I watch it, but originally it looked silly to me compared to his 40’s costume. It looked more realistic and I loved it compared to the Halloween costume feel of the modern suit
