We finally got confirmation for the new Space Sheriff Gavan movie. According to Nanbukogyo.jp, the movie will be released on the 10th October of this year.
Earlier this weekwe got rumblings of a new movie including new Space Sheriff toys going on sale and sightings of a young actor being filmed wearing Kenji Ohbas iconic costume. The rumours currently believe that Kenji will be passing down the torch to a new Gavan and this could lead to a revival and regular releases from the practically dead Metal Hero series.

That’s great news. I love the tripiness of the old Makuu Space effects, but right now green screen could take the craziness to another level, and there’s a proved franchise potential for legacy heroes in this.
