Nooooobody called this as all reports were stating that the Power Rangers were going to rock their anniversary tribute season with Gokaiger footage, but nope! “MegaForce” takes the stage.

Now this is a totally what the hell moment. I just can’t see gosei being the best idea to celebrate pr 20th. When gokaiger is ripped perfectly to be that. Its a celebration season and have the power to become any past team you want. With the chance to get past actors back like toei did. Where as now we have to wait longer and who knows if gokaiger will be used now.
Plus come on from the sound of things it looks to be a direct rip of gosei just droping the team being guardian angels and all that. What was the whole point in the extended 6 months they did. Where iris said they where going to work on plot and anni stuff.
If its going to be a close deal why delay casting. Why stretch out pr series again like samurai. I really like to know why the hell saban choose to do this. What’s the point in making gosei anii when there is nothing anni worthy for it. When gokaiger was right there to use.

I’m fairly certain that the target audience, those who are 5-10 years old, don’t care about the “anniversary” aspect of things. As long as the show is good, theyll be happy. Hell, not even good per se, just watchable. It’s the older fans that need the anniversary stuff to mean something. And what they want it I mean is EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT AND NOTHING ELSE! Because fans like that can’t be pleased.
