Just announced by staff of Flordia Supercon, the original Red Ranger, Austin St. John, finally returns to the fandom! After been neither seen nor heard from since Power Morphicon 1, the news came as a shock to the Power Rangers Fanbase at large.
A short biography of St. John was posted by Florida Supercon:
In 1993, Austin starred as Jason Lee Scott, the Red Power Ranger, in Saban Entertainment’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Austin left the show after 2 seasons, and later returned to the franchise as the Gold Ranger in Power Rangers: Zeo and as a guest star in the second Power Rangers movie. He also co-hosted the 1999 Power Rangers special titled “The Lost Episode”. Austin’s last Power Rangers appearance was in the tenth anniversary special “Forever Red,” where he joined nine other Red Ranger actors.
The Facebook event page for FLORIDA SUPERCON is currently open. Florida Supercon is July 3-6, 2014.
Does this make you interested in this convention? How do you feel about St. John’s return to the convention circuit? Let us know in the comments below!

Glad that the original MMPR red ranger is returning to the fandom, he’s awesome.
Seen PR Super Megaforce samurai surprise and saw it showed pre zyuranger yellow mask and pink flash and it was nothing new. For the fact that super megaforce relies too much on gokaiger footage and not creating much original scenes compared to previous shows was very disappointing. power rangers super megaforce was supposed to be celebrating the PR franchise history. First the tvnihon gokaiger subs on the legendary megazord commercial at the toy fair and now this. there’s so much gokaiger footage might as well just watch gokaiger instead, as super megaforce so far is a just a disaster and just pure lazy.
If the legendary war is just using footage of gokaiger movie with all 35 sentai teams in it for no explanation and if the past rangers cameos in that war is 10 seconds, gonna be done with the new power rangers shows for good.
Super megaforce so far is so bad that it makes the terrible PR samurai show look like a masterpiece
Power rangers really ended when RPM ended
The newer power rangers shouldn’t be bad but now but it’s an insult of power rangers fans and super sentai fans alike.

And yet, if a show uses too much Original Footage, we get just as many complaints.
Honestly, SMF is going over well with the majority of fans, and it seems only the most dedicated of haters aren’t enjoying it. We’re already getting more cameos from past Rangers than we were told we would (Jayden/Ji) and even getting Sentai Teams worked in; regardless of lack of explanation, it was cool.
Also, we know that the Legend War is mostly original footage from production photos and news.
I’ve noticed something, though. The biggest complainers about PR always bring up Sentai.
Just want to let you know, if you go into Power Rangers expecting any more than a generally simple, made for fun show which is 90% made for toy sales…

Because the footage is from super sentai series starting from zyuranger and after
the
original footage helps make power rangers unique and makes it stand out
more for example mmpr to rpm , which fans highly respect.
(even zyu 2 footage TOEI made for MMPR )
See how power rangers progressed over the years which had original footage mixed with the sentai footage and editted well
.
they
put effort in creating the shows before so thats no excuse, yes toys
are important but the effort to create a fun show makes better toy sales
in the long run.
here are some examples of how great the past shows were MMPR-RPM
and theres so much more

Peeps complain to much, Saban brands is farily young- and small- company compared to stuff like Disney. So budget wise its safe to assume that they don’t have what the company had back in the day(before it was reborn as saban brands) And we can also assume a good deal probably went to securing returning actors.
I do find it funny that Yellow mask and pink flash got used randomly- They could of easily cut to just showing Time force Pink, and DT yellow fighting maybe toss in an extra change for green. Though I’m not sure if “Legendary Ranger Blitz” was ment as sorta “Legendary Ranger mode- Blitz” hinting at a name for maskman, or if it was ment in the generic sense like Blitz warfare. In this case transform- use attack transform to something else. I do find it funny though cause so many people were like “They said there would be NO pre zyu suits used at all” Cough cough, what are yellow mask and pink flash then lol. I mean it kinda makes me think of Jungle fury- though in show rather than toys – when bandai reps said “All the zords would be released” Yeah they all got released – just not very well, since No transformign scale Jungle master- and to my knowledge no large scale Saidain or bat/shark/elephant.
Though this seems less like deliberate lack of information, and more straight up misdirection.
But on topic nice to see the Red ranger still cares about the fandom.
