We’ve seen the Samurai Team, now it’s time for the Ninja Team to take the spotlight! The Official pics come courtesy of E-Hobby, while the combined mode photos come from site sponsor BigBadToyStore!
Much like the Samurai Team, the Ninja team will be made up of three combiners. Unlike the Samurai Team whom  turn into vehicles, the Ninja team will turn into animals :
Gekisomaru the Lion
Hishomaru the Phoenix
and Sensuimaru the Shark.
Surprisingly, Gekisomaru has an Autobot insignia seen clearly on his lion head, these three aren’t the Decpticon Ninja as initially thought. As mentioned in the previous article, The teams share a lot of similarities to Takara’s Brave anime that ran in the 90s, as the torso mode using Kenzan bares a resemblance to Exkaiser and a lot of these Brave aesthetics carry over to the Ninja team.
Sensuimaru bares a resemblance to Captain Shark from Goldran. When Gekisomaru’s used as the torso mode, his head looks like the one used on Might Gaine, while his body is a combination of Shadow Dagwon from Brave Command Dagwon and GaoGaiGar.
But Brave isn’t the only thing being homaged by the Ninja team. Hishomaru has a strong resemblance to the Predacon Divebomb from Transformers Generation One, whom incidentally is also part of the Combiner team. Gekisomaru’s lion mode takes a lot of design cues similar to a Blade Liger from Zoids.
The Ninja trio will have similar price points to the Samurai team. With Gekisomaru being the most expensive at 5.775 yen, while Hishomaru and Sensuimaru will both retail for 3,675 yen a piece. Currently, GekisoMaru is slated to be released in July, while Hishomaru is coming out in August and Sensuimaru in September. A gift set containing the three will be due out in October.
