It’s been quite a while, but news of the upcoming Jojo has been released! Find out who or what has decided to join the cast this time! So summon your stand or charge your ripple and hit the link!
Well we’ll start things off with a bang with the newest four minute trailer. The trailer is all about theme’s such as Father VS Daughter, Battle of Hearts, and Gunman Show down. We also see the first glimpses of game play from the last batch of confirmed characters(Jonathan Joestar, Will A Zeppeli, Johnny Joestar, and Josuke of Jojolion)
Next up with have 4 new characters to announce. Three of are from Chapter Four: Diamonds Are Not Crash and one is from Battle Tendency.
First off is Koichi Hirose (V.A Romi Park known for her roll as Temari in the Naruto Series) and his stand Echoes.
Koichi is a young freshman in Josuke’s high school, and despite his age, he is very short. Throughout the series, he forms a student-teacher relationship with Jotaro. His Stand is Echoes, named after “Echoes” a song from Pink Floyd’s album “Meddle”, which has three distinct forms, or Acts (Koichi can only call upon one at any given time). Echoes Acts 1 and 2 can replicate sound effects and attach them to anything, which result in that happening to the object (i.e. attaching the word “whoosh” causes a gust of wind to blow by) Echoes Act 3 loses the former abilities and gains the ability “Freeze”. The Freeze ability increases the gravity of the target making it too heavy to move.
Next in the new releases we have Akira Otoishi (V.A. Showtaro Morikubo CardFight Vanguard’s Miwa Taishi or Nara Shikamaru of the Naruto Series)
A young man that inspires to be a rock star guitarist, who mysteriously acquires a stand with electric properties and powers and named it Red Hot Chili Peppers. A powerful Stand user he was able to fight and gain the upper hand against Josuke and his cohorts in battle, but was ultimately foiled by the arrival of Joseph Joestar and was captured and thrown in jail. The charges brought against him were stealing other peoples electricity with Chili Peppers abilities and sentenced for three years.
Rounding out the Diamonds Are Not Crash Gang is Rohan Kishibe (V.A. Hiroshi Kamiya Digimon Frontier as Koji Minamoto)
A famous manga artist who recently moved to Morioh. His Stand Heaven’s Door , named after “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”, allows him to read the memories of its target as well as write down commands that they must follow, most commonly “Can not attack Rohan Kishibe.” A restriction on his power is that the target must see his artwork, but this can be supplemented by drawing an “image” in the air with his finger. Interestingly enough Rohan has been the start of several spin offs such as “Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe ~Episode 16… Confessional”. Even more interesting is that Rohan is actually Jojo creator Hirohiko Akira doing a parody of himself.
Finally the time has come to reveal the newest character and final Pillar man and newest addition to the second chapter, Battle Tendency. Kars, The Ultimate Life Form! (V.A. Kazuhiko Inoue reprising his role from Jojo Bizarre Adventures)
New features have also been leaked along with the reveals, such as Clash mode which returns from the original Jojo arcade game. Clash is initiated when two strong attacks meet and contest is put forth between the players to mash their way to victory. Also a pose creator has been announced so that you can have even more characters put in even more ridiculous poses that I suspect can be used in game as victory poses.
