The North American non-profit fan-film MMPR has had a rocking Kickstarter Campaign so far, shooting past their goal and rising still! Â Just this week a brand new teaser for the work has come online, where we get a taste of the new trials waiting for a team with attitudes and super powers.

The Facebook page breaks down the film’s plot nicely: Lord Zedd is back for revenge on Tommy and the rest of Earth for his defeat.  A mysterious woman tips off Tommy to Zedd’s new goal, and they form a new team of rangers to combat the threat.  Twins, a police officer and a street fighter join the gang to do battle against Zedd as the new Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.
They’ve made almost 25k (since I started writing at least) and are still gaining support for this campaign. Â With over 40 days remaining there’s plenty of time to get on board. Â The rewards are off the chain and going fast.

Love the new design to the MMPR costumes, its awesome and actually looks like armour instead of spandex that just would suffice as protection in a battle. Also the ‘Glow’ to their costumes (literal) makes the Ranger look a lot more Alien like, which I like considering the look was from Zordon (who’s from Eltar.)
If it was my movie, I would include all of the original villains personally, but if I had to choose one other villain to aid Lord Zedd, it would be Rita Repulsa. She was the original ‘Big Bad’ and MMPR wouldn’t be the same if she wasn’t in the story or at least mentioned in a reference.
The series I would reboot would be between Mighty Morphin and Zeo. Mighty Morphin because it was the original and a huge part of my childhood, plus I liked all the Turassic Genre it had. Zeo because it was still linked to the Original and still retained the whole mythos aspect to the series. Also I liked the Egyptian look and feel to the show…

I’m loving this!!!!I am going crazy over here and I cannot wait for this to jump start. My favorite season that would do well design wise would be time force especially since Time Force reference was mentioned with the silver guardians, so Time force would be a good fast forward
