Sunrise studios announced that Valrave: The Liberator an original mecha anime will be hitting the airwaves this April.
Valrave the Liberator tells the story of Haruto Tokishima, set in the year True Calendar 71, with the development of space cities, 70% of humanity now lives in outer space. Between two major powers, the Dorushia Military Pact Federation and the Atlantic Ring United States or ARUS there exists a small neutral nation-Jirou, which has prospered. Haruto encounters the Valrave, a forbidden humanoid weapon during an invasion by the Dorushia Army.
Kou Matsuo will be directing while Ichiro okuchi will be in charge of series composition, mechanical designs will be handled by Kunio Okawara. The first opening theme “Preserved Roses†will be a preformed by Mizuki Nana and â„¢ Revoluti n. “Boku Jansaiâ€, the series ending theme will be sung by Angela.

 It looks like a series of model kits/action figures from Bandai is also in the works, as seen by this resin prototype of the Valrave itself.
