The Japan Toy Association announced the winners of the fifth annual Japan Toy Award at Tokyo Kokusai Forum on 12th June. They received 397 applications from 40 toy companies, and a group of 21 judges from the Japanese toy industry and the media selected the winners. Mission Sentai Go-Busters, and Kamen Rider Fourze won the first prizes in their categories.
Go-Busters’s “Buster Machine CB-01 DX Go-buster Ace” and Buster Machine series received the first prize in the character toy category, while Kamen Rider Fourze’s “Henshin Belt DX Fourze Driver” received the “2011 Hit Sales” award. You may remember in last December that the Fourze Driver was completely sold out at Christmas, leaving a lot of disappointed kids come Christmas morning.
