It was also announced that Seto Koji will star in the fourth Ring movie, called Sadeko 3D.
It’s been announced that Seto Koji(Kamen Rider Kiva) will play a web designer, Ando Takanori in the fourth movie in the Ring series. Seto said, “I can’t wait to see how scary it’ll be to watch Sadako coming out from big screen when it’s scary enough to see it coming out from the TV screen.”
The first Ring movie came out in 1998 about a video tape where seven days after viewing, you would be killed by Sadeko. The movie was critically acclaimed and became one of the most successful films in Japanese history. This upcoming film will also be based on the original story by Suzuki Koji who is the author of the series.
‘Sadako 3D’ is set for release on May 12th, 2012.

They did actually have two movies that were directly from the “real” books.
