Oh my god. I had no idea they did that. I was out to sea with HSL-51 Detachment 5 on board U.S.S. McCampbell DDG-85 in response to the relief efforts. My helicopter flew daily missions for over week with supplies. I am truly in awe of this massive relief effort and I can’t wait to get back the northern Japan waters to continue with the mission. And I hope we remain on station for a long time.
