While my opinion on Power Rangers Samurai is shaky at best this clip gives VERY good reason to keep watching. Ricardo Medina Jr. steps in to the show as PRS’s Juuzo and he’s pretty freaking incredible too! I remember seeing somewhere that he’d never step back in to the PR franchise ever again, but for a reluctant returning Ranger, he’s certainly taking back to the Ranger Universe like he means it!
One sad question remains… is this character Cole? I remember at a Power Ranger writer’s panel that it was hinted there would be a surprise return of past Ranger characters. I hope this is what was meant (and not Bulk….) and that they put some effort in to Cole Evans being a fallen Ranger, maybe crossing paths with Zen Aku…. or something interesting. And that they didn’t just dip back in to reusing a former Ranger actor for the sake of it.
Time will tell, but for now.. enjoy the clip and the return of Ricardo. 🙂

to answer the posed question, and judging by the style of the PRS adaptation, Ricardo probably simply plays the human form of Dekard, which is what they’re calling Juzo’s american counterpart

It’s good to see Ricardo Medina Jr in it but I don’t thiink hee’s playing Cole, at the end of the cliip he talks about a matchup but the monster that saved the dark bride in ep6 called his sword the same thing, so I think Ricardo Medina Jr is the human form of that guy, iit could even be something like Tyzonn in operation overdrive

On the face of it, I should say . . . this isn’t Cole.
1. If Medina is serious in pursuing an acting career, reprising a role wouldn’t hold interest. The Deker character, even as a villain, is complex enough (depending on how the writers handle it) that Medina would have his career enhanced by it.
2. There was no indication, during PRWF, that Cole was a serious martial artist (that was left to Merrick, the Silver Wolf Ranger). This fella, OTOH, is stone serious, and ten years isn’t enough to attain that sort of gravity or battle analysis.

meh, I was hoping for the return of the wildforce rangers, maybe after they turn him good, he calls in the wildforce rangers to help the samurai rangers?

well I hope they bring in wild force in power rangers samurai season… it be cool to have Cole Evan in action one more time… missed him in red ranger uniform.. his unleash power is awesome 😉 beside read ranger samurai ended deker and his curse so hopefully he be back as red ranger wild force 🙂
