Hey heroes… I got word from a little birdy that knows a thing or two about what’s going on over at TOEI. As usual I can’t reveal my source, but it’s legit.
I got to talking to him and asked something that’s been on my mind for a while. What’s up with the new Kamen Rider schedule? With Decade ending early and Kamen Rider W kicking off in the fall, when would we see the end of W and the beginning of whatever comes next?
This is what he had to say…..
Mr. Shadow: I heard TOEI is thinking of renewing Kamen Riders’ now every fall instead of following a close pattern to Sentai.
It goes more to the marketing of new toys… They`d make more selling stuff in the fall/holiday seasons… look at how popular the Double Driver belt is… can`t find it anywhere!
Plus it`s a new pattern for upcoming movies to come as well.
Since we get like 3 /4 rider films a year now.
Henshin Justice: W could go ’til next Fall?
Mr. Shadow: Most likely… look at how well last year`s half year run of Decade and having the winter movie did for TOEI sales.
The same will happen with Double and we`ll have a special team up movie next Christmas too. 😀
Marketing…
Plus fan service always works well with TOEI
So, there you have it first… I’ll let you know more when I know more. 🙂

More W? Win!

I swear if your source is Dukemon I’m going to punch someone.

When you start off with anything like “I know this guy but I have to keep it secret” that raises all kinds of red flags. Especially in this fandom.

Yeah I know, but since it’s me… you know you can trust it. I have no need to make things up around here.
And my source is definitely more inside than Dukemon.

Yeah you are pretty good about being honest, but I just don’t believe these rumors anymore till i see concrete facts. It’s nice you are telling people though.

It’s not me lol, but it is definitely on track with the rumors I’ve seen about why they changed gears.

Interesting bit of news. I suppose it does make sense to go that route, but that means we won’t know anything about a new KR series until the middle of this year (excluding the rumors and such that we usually get). Whatever. More W=Win!

Dont know who the source of keith is, but this is old news to me. One of the W producers said these same things in an interview for a japanese magazine, like in september.
