The cross franchise movie event between the Space Pirates and the Space Sheriff debuts in the Japanese theatres at second place.
The figures place Pirate Force Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie at second from figures of 21st & 22nd January. The film was seen by 159,227 people and grossed 160,750,000 Yen (US$2.06 million). This one also exceeded the previous ‘Super Sentai VS’ movie, “Tensou Sentai Goseiger vs. Shinkenger“, by around 14%. Gokaiger’s 199 Hero Great Battle also entered the number 2 slot in it’s first week in the Japanese box office and earned a total of Â¥288,610,400 (approximately US$3.6 million).
