Maybe they’ll just do what they did with Mighty Morphin’ and just have them lose their powers, thus forcing them to find new ones? Just a theory.

Hmm I have a theory. Remember that rumor about Megaforce getting a Silver Ranger in the second season in the form of Gokai Silver? Maybe that guy gives the Mega Rangers their power-ups.

I don’t think they’ll pull it off, cause that would require the writers to actually do work, something completely foreign to them.

Maybe one day whazzername got bored and said “I’m sick of the swirly wimpy decorations on our suits. I think we should look tougher. Like corsairs!”

I’ve been enjoying the series, but if “Roboknight” taught me anything, it’s that they have no clue how to begin something. The first episode felt like “Um… Well, we can just do ‘Day of the Dumpster’ again.” Then the episodes were fun and entertaining, but then Roboknight was just “Um… I guess he’s a nature loving robot?” This then makes NO sense to why Gosei can’t just reprogram him, and I call BS on ‘I made him too technical.’
I feel like the transition will be just as clunky for Gokaiger.

Other than Jake going from black to green, I don’t see a problem here. Megaforce has completely ignored the angel motif of Goseiger. Gokaiger’s pirate motif is more palpable but it can still be downplayed as well. Or they can go the other way just acknowledge them a pirate-themed power-up. Perhaps they’ll be activated by the Megaforce Rangers discovering a sunken pirate treasure.

The irony of all this is that, even by former Saban standards, the team should be shuffled in the wake of a major defeat. Troy should be demoted to Blue, Noah goes to Green [Appropriately, if you are at all familiar with Gokai Green’s body language in the source material] and Jake is left as the wild card. If I were writing the season, then I’d make the loss in the legend war define the change in the structure of the team. I’m not saying a new person needs to be brought in to fit Gokai Red’s smug suit personality, but there needs to be some care in the execution.

If it came down to it, I’d just have Jake take over as Red because he’d be in the position of alpha-male after Troy’s decision that wasted everyone’s powers. Heck, the ‘new footage’ body language for the GoseiBlack suit is closer to GokaiRed than the GoseiRed footage could ever hope to be.

My guess is it be like any normal powerup deal. What ever the gokai villains are called, they probably need to get a boost of power to fight better. Though using them as a powerup is silly. When fans can deal with yearly change. I hate the two yr deal with nick. And come on legend war was a easy out to drop gosei suits. Follow sentai war and powers are lost, and be it just a new power/treasure hunt to get powers ala turbo to space or mmpr to zeo deal. But curious to see how it turns out.
