Gundam Build Divers, the newest offshoot of the monstrously popular Gundam super robot anime franchise is set to blaze across the stars with another chapter in the Gundam Build Series.

First teased in the final episode of Gundam Build Fighters Battlogue on December 7, 2017, it was officially announced during a press conference livestream on February 2, 2018 that this new project would air in 2018. Jona Wong provides a synopsis translation, detailing the latest entry in the unstoppable mecha saga.

Inside the virtual dimension, one can enjoy missions using Gunpla in the latest online game, Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN). Middle school student Riku Mikami and his best friend Yukio Hidaka dragged in their classmate Momoka Yashiro into this vast world. There, where they act in GBN as Divers, they meet a young girl called Sara who possesses an amazing sensitivity towards Gunpla, and start to get engaged in activities together with her…

A famous Diver, Kyoya Kujo, a champion admired by Riku. Creation of “Force”, a squad system comprising multiple divers. Interference by “Master Divers” who use Break Decal, an unofficial tool. With many encounters and experiences, Riku and his friends are starting to build not just Gunpla, but their own adventures as well.

Riku Mikami (voiced by Yusuke Kobayashi)

Diver name “Riku”. A 14 year old middle school student living in a coastal region. He’s good with reflexing his body and he does everything with dexterity. Previously was searching for something that would make him excited, but when he saw Kyoya Kujo in a Gunpla Battle, he decides to jump into the world of GBN. His Gunpla’s the Gundam 00 Diver.

Yukio Hidaka (voiced by Natsumi Fujiwara)

Diver name “Yuuki”. Riku’s Classmate and one of his best friends. He loves the Gundam anime, enough where adults will lose to his level of knowledge on Gundam. Comes off as a simple boy, but his technical capabilities as as Gunpla Builder are amazing. Also a helpful Diver for Riku in GBN. His Gunpla’s the GM III Beam Master.

Momoka Yashiro (voiced by Nene Hieda)

Diver name “Momo”. Riku and Yukio’s classmate. She’s in the Girls Soccer Club. Has an aggressive personality and tries to make Riku join the Soccer Club, but at the same time, she comes to learn about the fun of Gunpla and GBN. With this, she ends up playing with Riku and others. Follows the philisophy of “Cuteness is Justice”. Her Gunpla’s the Momo Kapool.

Sara (voiced by Haruka Terui)

Diver name “Sara”. A mysterious girl who Riku and others encounter in GBN. Nothing is known about her except she’s a handy builder. Has the ability to read feelings embedded inside Gunpla.

Kyoya Kujo (voiced by Jun Kazama)

Diver name “Kyoya Kujo”. The Ultimate Diver in GBN, owning the title of “Champion”. A gentleman with a mild impression. But when it comes to Gunpla Battle, he becomes too passionate. Riku’s role model and goal. His Gunpla’s the Gundam AGE-2 Magnum.

Rommel (voiced by Show Hayami)

Diver name “Rommel”. Leader of the Force “7th Panzer Division”. A Strategist often called a Warrior. Loves hard battles, though has an adorable Diver form . Has good rival relationship with Kyoya, but is also a good friend. His Gunpla’s the Grimoire Red Beret.
