Last November we got word that, among other things, there would be a animated feature set in the Garo world. Outside of the image recently released, see above, we have some more information.

So far we’ve known it’s being written by Yasuko Kobayashi, recently of the mini-series Zero: Black Blood and other credits. Now we know the title is Garo: Honoo no Kokuin, or Seal of Flames. It’s set to be released in 2014, no word when though. And it’s also supposed to feature characters not connected to the ones we know or any story we’ve seen. So it’s either going to be set before Kouga’s father Taiga time and somewhere between Kouga/Raiga’s era and Ryuga’s, or perhaps after him. Or it could be set in an alternative world, and to be honest all of this is speculation on my part. But nothing of the story itself is known so far. More as it becomes available.
