After the phantom thieves of Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger got their two-piece VS Vehicle last month, now it’s the cops’ turn. The DX Trigger Machine Crane and Drill functions similarly to the DX Scissors and Blade Dial Fighter. They are two separate VS Vehicles that can combine (I use that word loosely) into one solid vehicle. They function with the DX VS Changer together or individually, and they combine with PatKaiser to make PatKaiser Strong. In the DX VS Changer, you get Keisatsu Boost sounds for the two separately and summoning sounds for the two together.
As I’ve said in past videos, I absolutely love the functionally of the VS Vehicles in the Changer, and this set is no exception. However, I’ve also stated that the mecha this season aren’t really my thing and this set is, once again, no exception. PatKaiser Strong is perhaps the worst form yet, the Crane arm looks hideous and doesn’t transform at all for the combination. Drill sits in the mech’s hand much like the Blade Dial Fighter but the Drill is so small it looks laughable to me. So, once again, we have another DX VS Vehicle set that I absolutely adore as a gimmick but strongly dislike as a new arm and weapon for PatKasier. The set is reasonably priced and LvP’s toy line is so minimal that even if you’re like me and you only like one of its two functionalities, it still might be worth the pick up.
