Toy Review: KAMEN RIDER BUILD DX Evol Trigger

Kamen Rider Evol gets an upgrade in a very similar way to the star of his show. This results in similar toys yet again for the Kamen Rider Build series, though that might not be such a bad thing.

The DX Evol Trigger here is a huge improvement on the previously reviewed DX Hazard Trigger. Pressing the button and inserting it into the DX Evol Driver gives you the “Revolution” sound effect with the new jingle for Black Hole form. Furthermore, in this state, you get a new attack, the “Black Hole Attack”. A second button-press gives you the “Fever Flow”, obviously similar to the “Overflow” from the previous version of the toy. Lastly, this toy gives you the option for the “Black Hole Finish” and the “Black Hole Break” for its final sound effects. Overall, it’s a very simple toy and complements the DX Evol Driver nicely. The DX Hazard Trigger was a huge hassle to handle and get the proper sound effects out of at the right time, but the DX Evol Trigger has no such issues. I highly recommend it to those who have the DX Evol Driver and enjoyed the concept of the DX Hazard Trigger.
