POWER RANGERS Alum Morphs into Oscar Isaac in STAR WARS Video: FINN & POE

Is this the closest we’ll get to a lead actor from the Power Rangers television franchise featuring in Star Wars? If so, I’ll take it! The Library Bards have been serenading Youtube with their nerd-centric music videos for the past few years, sending up a number of favorites in the world of geekdom. Now, they present to us their take on two characters in the recent smash hits Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The characters in question being that former Storm Trooper and the ace pilot who named him, Finn and Poe Dameron, played respectively by John Boyega and Oscar Isaac. But some among the Power Rangers fandom will get an extra treat, as the role of Poe is played here by Azim Rizk, who alternated between the Black and Green Ranger (there’s a simple explanation for that) on Power Rangers Megaforce. We find Rizk potentially alternating in a slightly different way in this fan music video, based on “Ex’s & Oh’s” by Elle King.

Rey who?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is in theaters now.
