Those of you looking to get more of that Dynaman goodness from last month are in for a treat. The 1986 classic parody dub of Japan’s Kagaku Sentai Dynaman is back with more episodes to stream from original distributors Night Flight. As previously reported, Dynaman, in all its wacky glory, was one of America’s first official glimpses into the world of Super Sentai, years before the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers would take households by storm in the 90s. Originally, the niche streaming service Night Flight Plus had only offered three episodes to watch, but now they’ve doubled that digit for more color-coded explosions to sate your appetite for tokusatsu’s early English-language oddities.

Whether one chooses to watch them with an earnest appeal, as an anthropological look at the special effects genre’s history and its slow road toward wider availability in places like the US, or as a “so bad it’s good” piece of trivial fun, Dynaman is a unique window into how the sphere of toku influence took its first steps toward expanding to many new eyes.

Night Flight’s official synopses for the newly-available episodes are as follows:

Episode 3 – Day of the Dolphin: Flipper’s Revenge

Episode 3 of Dynaman finds a terrifying new villain, the genetically modified evil dolphin named Mr. Flipper. Featuring sub-aquatic battle scenes, a psychedelic raids on an evil lair and truly treacherous dolphin. Dyna-kids, go!

Episode 5 – The Seven Loves of Lucky Pierre

An evil french frog is abducting brides on their wedding day around Dynacity for an awful ceremony, but his 10 foot tongue and poison perfume are no match for the Dynamen! Slojin goes under cover as a ninja bride ready for battle and reveals the treacherous plot to save the day.

Episode 6 – Last Adventure of Spunky the Wonder Squid

This is the very last adventure of Spunk The Wonder Squid, a maniacal flying cephalopod with a deadly ‘nose pistol’ and hatred for all things Dyna. His lust for power (literal power aka electricity) leads to a deadly Kaiju smackdown with the Dynaman team.
