The first installment of Toei’s Superhero Year initiative, the Kamen Rider #1 film debuted at #4 in the Japanese box office.
The film opened on 307 screens and sold a total of 123,702 tickets and earning 155,290,500 yen during the March 26-27 weekend. Beating the film at the box office are: Assassination Classroom: Graduation at #1, Doraemon the Movie: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016 at #2, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at #3.
