Welcome back to Super Hero Synopses, where it’s tough to tell friend from foe. In Kamen Rider Build Evolt keeps trying to convince his fellow Martian that they need to join forces, and seems determined to press the issue at any cost. Meanwhile in Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger our two female rangers find themselves having to join forces over a common goal – winning a stuffed animal!

As always we’d love to hear what you think about both of these ongoing toku series in the comments below, in our forum or on our Facebook page and please keep an eye out for more articles here on Henshin Justice Unlimited!

Kamen Rider Build, Episode 34
“The Best Match, Separated”

Sento (Build), Ryuga (Cross-Z) and Kazumi (Grease) discover that Touto’s Prime Minster has been killed and attack Evolt, who easily overpowers them and manages to poison Sento. Evolt informs them that he has three days to live and leaves. Two days later he contacts the Riders and arranges to meet Ryuga and Misora back at Sento’s lab. When they arrive, they find that Evolt has ransacked the place to try and find Pandora’s Box. Evolt offers them (yet another) trade. He wants Pandora’s Box and all of their Full Bottles in exchange for the antidote. Misora tries to use the power of Vernage against Evolt but is merely thrown back and knocked out.

Ryuga takes Evolt to the building where Pandora’s Box is being stored. Evolt attempts to sow discord by informing Ryuga that the real reason he deleted Sento’s memories and changed his face was because he had discovered who him and Ryuga were and intended to kill them both. Kazumi and Sawa arrive in an ambulance carrying Sento in the back, who writhes in agony as he nears death. Evol says that the two Riders have to beat him in order to get the antidote. If they can, he’ll even let them keep their Bottles. they all transform and begin to fight but it’s clear Evolt has a massive advantage, even shrugging off their combined Rider kicks. Kazumi is quickly forced out of his transformation while Evolt tries to convince Ryuga to side with him instead. When Ryuga discards his words, he forces him to untransform too. However, Ryuga isn’t done and despite the danger to himself of transforming again straight away does so and keeps fighting until after nightfall. It all comes down to finisher vs finisher, releasing a giant explosion. As the flames die down only Ryuga still stands, and with a flick of a hand he cures Sento. However, as he turns it becomes clear he has become possessed by Evolt.

Can Ryuga resist Evolt’s control? Will Sento bounce back from his poisoning? Can Vernage have her own revenge? Tel us what you think in our forum or on our Facebook page.

Kaito Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger, Episode 13
“The Best and Worst Day Off”

Umika (LupinYellow) and Tsukasa (Patran #3) cross paths in line for entry at an amusement park where the main enticement is collecting stamps on a card by visiting attractions in order to get a stuffed animal. As there are apparently no single tickets left they awkwardly buy a couple’s ticket and head on in. The ice breaks between the two when they reach a ‘haunted hospital’. It’s clear Tsukasa doesn’t enjoy being spooked, which reminds Umika of her best friend.

They are interrupted by a Gangler shinobi by the name of Naiyo Capaja. Unbeknownst to the two ladies, Naiyo had placed a barrier around the park so their respective allies cannot reach them. Tsukasa goes to face the Gangler while Umika assembles a makeshift phantom thief outfit before joining them. The rival rangers get in each other’s way, and Naiyo capitalises on it by binding the two together with a chain between their wrists. The pair manage to work together long enough to escape. Back in the haunted hospital, the duo form a plan to trick Naiyo into breaking the chain with her scythe weapon. However, it becomes clear that Tsukasa has been injured in the previous fight.

As Kairi (Lupin Red) secretly helps the other two Patrangers break through the barrier the two female rangers face Naiyo. Their plan succeeds and Naiyo accidentally breaks the chain. The rangers transform and fight her together. It seems as if their newfound partnership has floundered when Umika uses Tsukasa as a human shield, but it turns out that she had slipped her mask to Tsukasa to provide some extra protection and Tsukasa was merely laying low until she had an opportunity to strike. The other Lupinrangers arrive and Kairi takes Naiyo out with the Scissors Dial Fighter’s weaponry. Tsukasa collapses from the battle as the other Patrangers arrive at her side, and the Lupinrangers show off all of their mech formations as they defeat Naiyo again. Back at their cafe, Umika reveals that she went back and got their prizes, but Tsukasa is disappointed that it wasn’t the one she really wanted.

Did this episode whet your appetite for the upcoming ‘Super Battle DVD’ special featuring the two female rangers? What on earth are those masks made of if they can be used as armour? Which of the two stuffed animals would you have picked? As always, please let us know your thoughts in our forum or on our Facebook page.
