What do Kamen Rider Drive, Spyro The Dragon, Super Mario Bros, and Buzz Lightyear of Toy Story all have in common? They each have their own line of video game gimmick figures. Let’s rewind it back to December 2014. Bandai Namco had just pumped out another game for their live-action Kamen Rider franchise on TV in Japan, this one with a slight twist. Bandai Namco wanted to hop in on the gimmick figure market much like like its competitors at Skylanders, Amiibo, and Disney Infinity, so they made Kamen Rider Summonride. Unfortunately, due to poor game design, bad controls, and the fact that the figures are extremely lackluster, Summonride fell flat.

It’s time to pick up that Dualshock 3, and watch as our Friends of Justice at Fighting Frogs Ultra attempt to get down and dirty with some of our favorite heroes in Kamen Rider Summonride.
