Tetsuya Komuro of the music group PANDORA has announced his retirement from the entertainment industry. In December of 2017, tabloid magazine Shukan Bunshun reported that the artist whose music begins every episode of the Kamen Rider Build television series had allegedly engaged in extramarital activities.
Komuro held a press conference on Friday, denouncing allegations but admitting that he did share a room with the unnamed woman in question. In the same conference, Komuro also announced his retirement from the music and entertainment industry, citing that it’s his way of “drawing the line, in light of the public outroar”.
His current projects and commitments haven’t been canceled. It’s been confirmed that he’s still set to make appearances on the pop talent competition series Last Idol as well as NHK’s weekly music program Utacon and Billboard Live.
And yes, PANDORA’s still performing at the tokusatsu live event Chou Eiyusai KAMEN RIDER X SUPER SENTAI 2018. No word yet but for now, we can also assume that PANDORA and Beverly’s Kamen Rider Build mini-album will still be released as scheduled January 24, 2018.
Other inactive projects like Globe and TM Network will be disbanded and cancelled.
