Lionsgate revealed to analysts that the company is turning its attention to Power Rangers and hopes to release more Power Rangers movies in the future.
With the the Hunger Games franchise and the lackluster performance of the Divergent Series, the company states that they hope to do “five, six or seven of them” in the future. The upcoming Power Rangers film is planned for a March 24, 2017 release and it will star Naomi Scott as Kimberly/Pink Ranger, Darce Montgomery as Jason/Red Ranger, Ludi Lin as Zack/Black Ranger, RJ Cyler as Billy/Blue Ranger, Becky Gomez as Trini/Yellow Ranger, and Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa.
