For a while now, after Crunchyroll.com started streaming four older Ultra series, fans which show was going to be next. Now we know.
Ultraman X will be simulcasted on the streaming site. While Crunchyroll does this with various animes series they have licensed this will be the first time a live action tokusatsu series has received this treatment. But I must note that this particular service is only available to crunchyroll.com members.
Ultraman X follows Oozora Daichi, who fifteen years after an ultra flare releases monsters from their spark doll, unites with a giant of light to become Ultraman X. Gaining powers ups like cyber armor from cyber cards Daichi puts into the X-Devizer, the henshin device of this series. It should also be noted that while spark dolls are mentioned, and Daichi uses one to transform into Ultraman X, so far there is no indication that this shares the same universe as the previous Ultraman Ginga series as of yet.
The simulcast will start Tuesday, July 14th at 3:30 am pacific time.
UPDATE: Having just checked the video page, while the simulcast is members only, the first episode will be available for non members starting July 21. So I can only assuming, having not watched a simulcast before, that each episode will be available for for the general public a week after it airs.
