The latest round of press of the tokusatsu adaptation of this summer’s manga and anime tag-team  Attack on Titan features the announcement of the Attack on Titan Live Action Film Cast! Hit the jump to learn more!

The roster consists of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin with entries exclusive to the film. According to Anime News Network,

the cast includes seven characters that are new to the film versions of the story. Sanspo reports that Hasegawa’s character Shikishima holds the key to the film’s story as “humanity’s strongest man.”

The confirmed cast of Haruma Miura as Erin Jaegar, Kiko Mizuhara as Mikasa Ackerman, Kanata Hongo as Armin Arlert, Satomi Ishihara as Hans/Hanji, Nanami Sakuraba as Sasha Blouse, Takahiro Miura as Jean, Hiroki Hasegawa as Shikishima, Ayame Misaki as Hiana, Pierre Taki as Souda, Jun Kunimura as Kubal, Shu Watanabe as Fukushi, Satoru Matsuo as Sannagi, and Rina Takeda as Lil. Along with this round of casting news, Attack on Titan is due for two films, dates pending according to the films’ director Shinji Higuchi as described in the release —

the project will span two films and stated that, with the supervision of Isayama, the story will be based on the world and characters of the manga, while incorporating new characters and new formidable enemies.

Yuusuke Watanabe, in association with film critic Tomohiro Machiyama and  Attack on Titan‘s mangaka Hajime Isayama will write the script for the series.
