This week, a unique offering from Premium Bandai gives us an inside look at a retro Tsuburaya studios film studio with a new diorama set.
Retailing for 25,920 yen the set includes everything you need to record your own stop motion Tokusatsu: to scale props, working miniature lights that are adjustable to accurately recreate Showa-era lighting, cityscape pieces, and three different kinds of backdrops there’s even an armature to mount an iphone. In addition, the set will come with an interview with Ooka Shinichi, president of Tsuburaya and the cinematographer of Ultraman.
Pre orders for this historic piece will run from July 22nd 2014 till October 31st and the shipping date will be May 2015. While the diorama set is meant for use with Sofubis, it should be big enough to use with Tamashi branded products such as Figuarts and Ultra Act.
Don’t delay, order yours through HJU’s middleman service: Okinawamtoyseller!
