We’ve all heard Ron Wasserman’s classic tunes from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers covered and remixed, but a few of the great songs on the soundtrack sometimes are passed over for the more common remix of the iconic theme song. Now, Discovered Magazine and Mecha Gorilla (whom brought us the Tokusatsu film festival, “Texas Toku Taisen,” earlier this year) team up with Metaljonus for a heavy hitting adaptation of the Mighty Morphin’ Green Ranger’s theme song, “Go Green Ranger, Go!” Hit the jump for the video!
Shred With The Dragon! Listen to Green Ranger Metal!
Let Discovered Magazine take you back to a time and place where grown ups in spandex jumped on giant mechanical dragons and saved the world.
Maybe the title was a smidgen misleading, but you’ve got to admit that sounds cool. My company Mecha Gorilla contacted online metal artist Metaljonus to shred on this slice of the 90′s from the Fox Kids TV hit the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.
We’ve got to keep things interesting. Wanna shred? We thought it was time we heard some awesome tunes to the tune of a large dragon stomping to through a city with a giant robot tiger giving it a beat down. Let’s all take a moment to jam these awesome tunes.
Be sure to check out Metaljonus in his band, Steel Trap Mind and check out Mecha Gorilla on Youtube and on their Website.
What do you think of this remix? Do you like remixes as a whole, or should the songs be left alone? What is YOUR favorite Power Rangers inspired remix? Doesn't sound ANYTHING like the song. Closest it comes is the Dragonzord summoning music at the end.
