The Sonic Storybook series may be one of Sonic’s less popular adventures, but that doesn’t stop it from containing some very cool, Tokusatsu referencing moments!

Their swords are also fairly similar.
While the game and show share no staffing, it is probably safe to say that at least some inspiration was drawn from Garo for Sonic’s Excalibur armor and for Caliburn (the sword) itself.
