It’s Avengers done with a hint of Pokemon in Marvel’s latest partnership with Toei and Bandai. A marvellous quick promotional teaser for Disk Wars: The Avengers just hit the internet giving us our first glance at what looks to be a…unique take on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

To put the trailer in perspective: portable capturing devices known as DISKs are created to trap villains. But Loki’s latest scheme has both heroes and villains alike trapped, the disks are scattered across the world. Spiderman whom narrowly escapes capture himself gives five of these Disks to a group of youths restoring the Avengers: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk and Wasp.

Disk Wars: The Avengers begins airing April 2nd.
