We have four new character TV spots for the Japan release of the upcoming Kentaro Otani and Keiichi Satou-directed live action theatrical spin-off adaptation of Yana Toboso’s 2006 Square Enix manga publication, Black Butler. The four spots, which you can view below, center on four of the main characters beginning with the first two showing actor Hiro Mizushima who plays the demonic titular butler summoned by actress Ayame Goriki’s dual portrayal of Shiori/Kiyoharu Genpo at a young age to help her avenge her family. The third and fourth spots, respectively, feature actresses Yuka as Shiori’s aunt, Hanae Wakatsuki, and Mizuki Yamamoto as Rin – the cute and clumsy maid of the Phantomhive, least known for her “skills” other than that of her clumsy housekeeping.
Featuring action choreography by Ouchi Takahito, Black Butler also stars Ohno Takuro, Kaito Ken, Maruyama Tomomi, Shirota Yu, Yasuda Ken, Hashimoto Satoshi, Shigaki Taro, Ibu Masato and Kishitani Goro. The film will release in domestically on January 18, 2014.
SYNOPSIS:
In the year 2020, Shiori Genpo runs the large corporation Funtom. Shiori is also a descendant of prestigious noble family Phantomhive of England, with her inheritance merited only by her appearance as a boy.
Orphaned at the age of ten upon the murder of her parents, her work is assisted by her loyal bodyguard, a supernatural demon in the form of Sebastian Michaelis, an exceptionally skilled butler whose etiquette and intelligence are as equally deadly as his craft in killing, both of which prove useful for Shiori in exacting her revenge. But for dealing with the devil, it may cost her more than any fortune she’s willing to pay.
