Tamashi Preview S.H.Figuarts Kabuto Renewal!

In anticipation to the forthcoming Figuarts Kabuto Renweal figure, Tamashi finally releases the official preview gallery for the toy…what’s more, Tamashi opened a special web page dedicated to showcasing the figure’s development cycle.

S.H.Figuarts is a line that promotes “expression through humanoid action” meaning that the line tries to be as close to the human body as possible. As we know, Kabuto renewal features a new body that takes this concept to the next level and with the special page that Tamashi opened, we can see the design process first hand.

First, the design is sculpted out of clay starting with the shape of a human skeleton and slowly working the way up to the actual suit used. The sculpture is then placed in a 3D printer where the new skeletal joint system is designed through CAD.

These work in progress images shows that Kabuto Renewal is more than just a re-release…this figure received a completely new remold! The final product is remarkable,  one that more closely resembles the stunt suit used in the show and movies.

Walk the path to heaven and prepare your wallets…Kabuto Renewal will be dropping out of Clock Up and into stores come March of  next year, with a price tag of 5000 yen.
