Tiger & Bunny: The Rising

 


Kotetsu Kaburagi and Barnaby Brooks Jr. return in the upcoming movie: Tiger & Bunny The Rising. Unlike the first film The Rising is a sequel to the events of the TV series featuring new heroes and villains. We have the first full trailer of the series and info on the plot, so check it out!

The film which is set after of the events of the TV series rather than the first movie takes place after Kotetsu retires and Barnaby has a new partner, Golden Ryan. Golden Ryan is a powerful Next with gravity based powers, more precisely he’s able to increase the gravity of an area with the radius of about 30 meters, his primary sponsor is Banpresto.

The movie’s plot revolves around Barnaby and Golden Ryan forming a new team now that Kotetsu has retired to return to his daughter after the events of the series. However, powerful new rogue Nexts appear and defeat the other  current heroes bringing Kotetsu out of retirement.

Tiger & Bunny: The Rising  will be directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani (GaoGaiGar), with screenplay from Masafumi Nishida.  The cast from the TV series reprises their roles, including Hiroaki Hirata as Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Masakazu Morita as Barnaby Brooks Jr., and Koji Yusa as Lunatic. The film’s theme heard in the full trailer is called,  Harmonized Finale by Union Square Garden. The film debut this February 8th, 2014.
