In a recently held press conference, it was revealed that Kamen Rider Nadeshiko’s actress Erina Mano will be playing Akira Izumino, the leading lady in the up coming live action Patlabor film.

Further details about the project was announced in the above conference video; the movie will be a brand new story set in Patlabor’s world rather than an adaptation remake like some anime to live action films. The film will begin with Episode 0 which comprises of 12 episodes each running at about 10 minutes the short films will lead into the movie. Thesegments will be begin airing in April.

Other cast members include Seiji Fukushi as Yumi Shinobara, Rina Ota as Ekaterina Krachenva Kankaeva, Toshio Kakei as Captian Keiji Gotoda and finally Shigeru Chiba will reprise his role as maintenance squad chief Shigeo Shiba.
