Denetsu USA will be bringing over an English adaptation of Level 5’s smash hit anime: Danball Senki under the LBX name! A teaser has been released, and gives us a sneak peak at the English speaking dub of this series. Chris Mccord(Dan Kusou from Bakugan) will be playing the series lead character; Yamano Ban renamed Van Ridgeway in the US version. No air date has been given, but in the mean time hit the jump to check out the teaser!

LBX can be best described as a modern take on the classic anime Medabots. Set in the year AD 2046, the creation of a super durable reinforced cardboard revolutionizes the world of distribution. LBXs are miniature customizable robots created by Tiny Orbit that have taken the world by storm. However, numerous incidents have deemed these robots unsafe for public use and banned. But the reinforced card board would be repurposed and adapted into this hobby, creating safe arenas where these epic battles could be contained, LBX once again takes the world by storm.

Four years after the creation of the reinforced cardboard, our hero Van Ridgeway encounters a mysterious woman whom entrusts him the equally mysterious LBX AX-00 containing the hope and despair for humanity, he later finds himself thrusted into a battle involving an organization called the Innovator.

Danball Senki’s anime spans over 100 episodes, with a third season that’s currently on going in addition to numerous video games a line of model kits from Bandai, and a crossover movie with Inazuma Eleven. The second season Danball Senki W has also been licensed though the air date much like the first season is currently unknown.
