He’s back! Phoenix Wright returns as the lead character in the next installment of the franchise. Gyakuten Saiban/Phoenix Wright 5 has been announced for the Nintendo 3DS with a localization already in the works. Hit the jump to view the newly released teaser!
The game is set roughly 1 year after Gyakuten Saiban 4/Apollo Justice with Phoenix having reclaimed his lawyer’s badge sometime in between the two games. The game will have a darker tone then the previous series, following Phoenix’s warning in the Apollo Justice game.
Apollo himself will be returning in this game, as well as the debut of two new characters: Kokone Kizuki, Wright’s new female partner, and Jin Yuugami the new rival prosecutor.
The game comes out July 25th in Japan with the North American and European releases currently undisclosed The newly released teaser shows off the investigation and courtroom game plays, along with new elements added to both segments. You can see the trailer below:
