It will be a new V-Cinema movie called Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger: 10 YEARS AFTER. The movie will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD August 9, 2013 with rentals on the same day. The limited edition will also include an hour documentary of Hurricanger.
This 10 year anniversary project was actually Nao Nagasawa and Kouhei Yamamoto’s idea as told in the video. Nao decided to gather the cast and staff with intentions of creating something new. Set 10 years after the end, the ninja heroes have to face a new evil threat.

it was announced a few days before april fools day so it can't be
That's usually a sign something is an April Fools joke. You announce it a few days before to give it merit. Not saying this is one but just saying that does typically happen the week just before often.

It's not an April Fools Joke. If it is, a lot of money was wasted on it. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if we get more V-Cinema movies like this one, after Gokaiger's success. Hurricanger was the first Sentai I watched from beginning to end, so I'm really excited about this.
I wish shurikenger will come too
No, I don't think it's fake. The cast were hinting at something around New Year. Hurricaneger isn't exactly my favorite Sentai but if this leads to a Dekaranger or Abaranger reunion, I'll be happy
So... Toei and Bandai have realized that there is a market for stories about the characters from former shows. Thus also a market for the toys... *squeeee!*
Thought it was an April fools joke, but this is the real deal. they are really coming back, and feeling nostalgic again from watching it over 10 years ago, damn how time flies.
the first sentai to use the ger as a mix for eg: hurricane + ranger = hurricanger.
Not the best sentai show but a very unique and a fun one with an awesome ending and at the time was really refreshing and had also allies the gouraigers and the mysterious shurikenger felt new after hundred beasts squadron growlranger (gaoranger). Cant wait to watch the 10 years after, very excited . Hope this kind of revival trend continues with other older sentai shows also.
