MOVIE TAISEN ULTIMATUM’s Akumaizer 3! And Hints of Another Ishinomori Character Appearance?!

The evil versions of Shotaro Ishinomori’s AKUMAIZER 3 that are appearing in this winter’s KAMEN RIDER FOURZE X WIZARD: MOVIE WARS ULTIMATUM have been revealed! But get this, they also hold a clue to a possible plot twist! Find out what’s got me freaking out after the jump

Now, in a dramatic first for anything, they’re actually utilizing the SIC figure redesigns of Zabitan, Evil, and Gabura for their appearance in ULTIMATUM. According to the plot, they arrive from the Underworld to revive past monsters defeated by our heroes.

I’m looking forward to seeing their arsenal updated via Sakamoto Madness. But I must confess that up until now, I was kind of bummed that some of my favorite heroes of the 70’s were being reduced to villains again. And then something hit me as I was looking at the names.

Our former heroes, Zabitan, Evil, and Gabura are now Zatan, Eel, and Gaara. Catch what I’m catching? They’re missing their B’s.

Considering how the last time we had blatant hint, it turned out to be exactly how we’d imagined?  I think we’ll be getting an appearance by Akumaizer’s sequel series, CHOJIN BIBYUN.

For the unaware, CHOJIN BIBYUN  revolved around three humans who are infused with the souls of our heroes to transform into Bibyun (Zabitan), Zushin (Evil), and Bashan (Gabura). Also, the late Shigeru Araki played the titular lead.

But will Bibyun really show up as part of one last epic nostalgia troll by Fourze scribe Kazuki Nakashima? After all, it’s too conspicuous of a thing with the name change to NOT be a hint. Or will it just one big tease to break my heart? (Because be honest, most of you out there never heard of them until today.) I rather do hope I’m right, after all Bibyun also has some SIC versions. Until then, hope!

    • Nakashima has nothing to do with this though... he isn't the one writing the crossover, just the Fourze part.

      • I'd forgotten who was getting what, but I'd like to think there's some manner of collaboration with the crossover section. Because, again, the name change just reeks of the reveal of XVII in the Fourze movie.

        tl;dr I'm dangerously optimistic :(

  • "(Because be honest, most of you out there never heard of them until today.)"

Ah, but you did, didn't you. Because you are so much cooler and better than us to know about them and lowly little us didn't have a clue! Patronising your readers, very classy stuff.

    • "Ah, but you did, didn't you. Because you are so much cooler and better than us to know about them and lowly little us didn't have a clue!"

Well, of course I'm cooler and better than everybody else, that goes without saying! :P

Seriously, relax! It is true that most of the newer crop of fans are unaware of the more obscure shows. That is unless its theme song has been been covered by an anime (ala Kyodain and Wild 7) or it's being resurrected out of the blue ala Playgirl 2012. Which I'm also hoping is remotely good. *shakes fist at Ryuta Tasaki*

  • Remember the days when a kamen rider movie was about the rider and had a original villian? I do and am sick of these pointless showa characters.
